I have worked extensively since 1996 in Paris
and London with adults, young people, couples and groups offering
psychotherapy, counselling, supervision, anger management and
training. I also work as a supervisor.
I offer the following specialisms:
-
General psychotherapy and counselling
-
Supervision
-
Brief work
-
Relationships
-
Working with diversity and difference
-
Sexuality and sexual issues
-
Anger
-
Work related issues including stress
-
Group work and training
I work in both French and English. I also speak
Spanish and Italian.
Fees are 65 euros for individual 50 minute
sessions. Other rates apply for supervision and couples counselling
where sessions generally last 1 ½ hours. Some low cost places are
available.
My person centred approach is based on offering
clients a safe space where they are free to explore any issues that
they want to raise. My presence is non directive and non judgemental
based on the principle that the client decides and knows rather than
the therapist. Growth and change become possible by accompanying the
client at their pace on their journey into themselves, their past
and present.
I welcome diversity and difference and have
worked with people of very varied backgrounds, nationalities,
beliefs, lifestyles and age-groups. Much of my therapeutic work in
relation to this has been around acceptance of difference and self
acceptance in relation to persecution, intolerance and rejection.
I trained in London at Metanoia Institute,
gaining a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling, and at Temenos,
gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision. I have also
attended a wide variety of workshops, groups and short courses in
Britain and France on themes related to therapy, supervision and
personal development.
I am a UKRCP Registered Independent
Counsellor/Psychotherapist, and am also an accredited member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and of
the French Person Centred Association (AFP-ACP). I abide by their
codes of ethics.
